Welcome! I'm Aly King-Smith and I'm approaching 13 years of profitable self-employment as an Executive Coach.
After a fearful tip-toe into self-employment in 2005 and many years spent wrestling with the concept of niching, I’m finally leading a successful, established and profitable niche coaching consultancy, that feels authentic and heart-led. My consultancy is engaged by loyal, global companies of every size and sector.

I've been an Executive Coach since 2005, and post-grad qualified and MD of Clearworks Coaching, since 2013.

My background is in commercial sales leadership in the pharmaceutical sector, and physiotherapy before that. I’m a business owner, speaker, podcaster, writer and passionate advocate for sports and the outdoors. If you’re looking for me, I’ll be on the tennis court with my husband, up a mountain with my daft dog or by the sea with my big noisy grown-up family.

Building a healthy, happy. high performing business relies on sustainable process and practice. Where's your support coming from? What's the best structure for your practice? What might you be overlooking, that could cause you to struggle?
The Art of the Niche
What's the work that makes your heart race? Who, what, where might you find clues to the work that flows for you? Call it speciality, niche, ideal client or simply favourite - if you're feeling stuck I can help you find a place to start and accelerate progress. If clients can't differentiate what you do, from all the other coaches, you're never going to fly.
The Shop Window
What does your business look and feel like from the outside? What messages are you sending purposely or accidentally? Do they match your intention? What reputation are you building and who might see your brand and think "that's for me"? Where are you on view, and how can more people experience you?

We look together at the coaching you do already and create a unique way to present this, brand it up, and take it to market. No tricks and inauthentic promises. But genuine packages that mean you know what you're offering and feel confident they're worthwhile. And Clients understand what they'll get for their money.

Pricing and Offers. How can you be sure that you're offering business in a sustainable way so that your Clients can afford and appreciate it, and you are earning what you want to earn. Work out where you might be giving too much or too little, and see how "fair exchange" plays out in your business.
